The Promenade South is a mixed-use, multi-family housing project that investigates urban density through gradients of public and private space. Located adjacent to regional transit infrastructure, the project leverages connectivity as a generative design constraint, activating the ground plane with commercial and live/work programs while organizing residential units above. A semi-private interior courtyard mediates between the city and the dwelling, while a linear northern promenade operates as an urban armature—simultaneously a pedestrian corridor and a social condenser—linking surrounding blocks and fostering collective occupancy. Through layered circulation and open space, the project positions housing as an extension of the public realm rather than a discrete object.
